Andrew Turner

Andrew Turner is the CTO of the Esri R&D Center in Washington, DC developing technology for open data sharing and collaborative geospatial analysis. He was the CTO of GeoIQ, the developers of the popular geospatial community site GeoCommons that was acquired by Esri in 2012. Andrew is a member the Open-Source Geospatial Foundation, the OpenStreetMap foundation, and is also the co-founder of Crisiscommons, a global community of technology volunteers that support humanitarian assistant in disasters. Andrew wrote the O’Reilly shortcut “Introduction to Neogeography” and “Trends in Where2.0” business report in Spring 2008. He is also published in MacTech and Make magazine on his home-automation hacking.
